What happens between two people?

 ABOUT ME

I’m interested in what happens in the space between people.

  • Not just personality.
  • Not just compatibility.
  • Not just what each person brings individually.

But what happens when two people meet — what they activate in each other, what they create together, and why one particular relationship can feel so different from another.

my approach

how i read a relationship

  • I read relationships as systems.
  • I look at the patterns, tensions, attractions and points of resonance that emerge when two individual systems meet — and at how those patterns change over time.

My work combines synastry, composite, progressed composite and harmonic patterns, looking not only at individual aspects but at the larger geometry and architecture they form.

  • I’m interested in what each person brings into the relationship, what gets activated between them, and what becomes something genuinely new.
  • A relationship can amplify something that was already there. It can also create a dynamic that neither person carries in quite the same way on their own. That distinction matters.

I don’t use astrology to tell you whether a relationship is “meant to be”. I use it to help you understand why it feels the way it does — and what becomes possible when you can see the pattern more clearly.

We bring our histories with us

We don’t enter relationships empty-handed:
  • Family patterns.
  • Early experiences.
  • Protective strategies.
  • Unconscious expectations about love, safety, closeness and control.

Some of these patterns can become so familiar that they start to feel like personality — simply who we are.

  • A relationship can make them visible.
  • Sometimes the person in front of you has not created the wound, fear or defence. They have simply touched something that was already there.
  • That doesn’t make the relationship irrelevant. Quite the opposite. It can become a mirror.

The question becomes: What belongs to the past? What belongs to the other person? What is actually happening now? And what are we creating between us?

This is where I find astrology particularly useful — not as a sentence, but as a way of making patterns conscious. Because seeing a pattern gives you a choice about what you do with it.

labels don't work for me

  • I’ve explored many of the frameworks we use to make sense of people — DISC, introversion and extraversion, Myers-Briggs and other personality taxonomies. They can be useful.
  • Knowing that one person is an introvert and the other an extrovert tells you something about them. But it doesn’t explain the particular chemistry, tension, attraction or recurring patterns that emerge when these two people meet.
  • We have frameworks for attachment styles, love languages, communication styles and relationship dynamics. Useful as they are, they still tend to describe the people inside the relationship rather than the relationship itself.

why astrology?

That is what drew me to astrology.

  • I don’t use it to put people into another category.
  • I use it as a language for exploring the space between them — and for looking at the deeper patterns that may sit underneath what we experience consciously.
  • My perspective is influenced by evolutionary astrology, psychology and systemic approaches such as family constellations, alongside Western tropical astrology as the technical framework I work with.
  • These perspectives share an interest in patterns: what we inherit, what we repeat, what becomes visible through relationship, and what can change when we become conscious of it.
  • I’m particularly interested in the possibility that a relationship can become a place of development — not because every difficult relationship is something we are supposed to endure, but because relationships can show us parts of ourselves that are difficult to see alone.

Becoming more fully yourself through a relationship

For me, relationship is not about finding someone who completes you. And it is not about losing yourself in another person. It is about learning how to be in relationship without abandoning yourself, manipulating the other person or trying to make them become who you need them to be.

  • Sometimes that means staying.
  • Sometimes it means changing the relationship.
  • Sometimes it means letting it go.
  • The chart cannot make that decision for you.

But it can help you see more clearly what is happening — what you are carrying, what the other person is activating, what exists between you, and where you may have a choice.

  • Not another personality type.
  • Not another compatibility label.
  • Not a predetermined fate.
  • A way of looking at the relationship itself.

And perhaps, through it, at yourself.
